Ingredients
- Popcorn Shrimp
- 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon Gourmet Garden™ Minced Garlic Stir-In Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- Oil, for frying
- Garlic Ginger Honey Sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Gourmet Garden™ Minced Garlic Stir-In Paste
- 1/2 tablespoon Gourmet Garden™ Ginger Stir-In Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper (to taste)

Preparation
- 1 Season shrimp with Gourmet Garden Minced Garlic Paste, salt and pepper. Mix water, flour, cornstarch and baking powder in separate bowl until well blended. Add shrimp to batter, tossing to coat well. Let stand 15 minutes.
- 2 Meanwhile, for the sauce, combine water, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Gourmet Garden Minced Garlic Paste, Gourmet Garden Ginger Paste and crushed red pepper in a medium bowl. Mix well. Set aside.
- 3 Heat enough oil to fry shrimp to 350°F in a large wok or pot. Working in small batches, fry battered shrimp 3 to 4 mins or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain well on paper towel lined plated.
- 4 Bring sauce mixture to boil in a large wok or skillet. Simmer on medium heat until sauce is reduced by half, about 4 to 6 minutes. Sauce will become sticky. Increase heat to medium-high. Add fried shrimp and toss until evenly coated. Serve and enjoy!
